How to remove StorageProtector (Removal Instructions)Posted by Grinler on February 24, 2008 @ 11:02 PM · Views: 698
What this programs does: StorageProtector is a rogue system optimization program from the family of rogues that include CleanPCTool. StorageProtector's web site states that this program can be used to fix computer errors, improve system performance, repair corrupted files, and optimize your computer. In reality, though, this program displays misleading results and you can only fix them with the software if you purchase a license for it. This tactic of displaying false positives is a common way to scare a user into purchasing their software. Other than false positives, StorageProtector also uses misleading advertisements on web sites that imply your computer has problems. As there is no way that these web sites can know this, this is just another example of misleading advertisements. A screen shot of StorageProtector is shown below.
