A Network is an interconnected system of things or people whether they be restaurants, shops, people, etc.
In computer terms a network is a system of interconnected computers that work together and are usually identified as a single entity.
Examples of networks are:
- A system of IRC Servers that are conected together to create an IRC
Network.
- A system of compturs in your home that are all interconnected to share
resources
- An office network that consists of workstations and servers that share
resources.
All of these are examples of networks.
