Script Kiddy

Script Kiddy, sometimes spelled Script Kiddie, is a derogative term, used to represent an immature hacker. This term originated by the more experienced hackers to refer to the novice hacker who had to rely on readily available scripts and programs, created by the more experienced hacker, instead of using programs that they had made on their own.

Script Kiddys are a major cause of concern on the Internet. As they tend to be inexperienced, they tend to not be cautious in the hacking probes. Script Kiddys are known to run programs that scan the entire Internet for vulnerabilities and then mass hack them as they are found. This generally leads to this type of hacker being caught more often than an experienced one.

Though they are not as dangerous as the experienced hacker, they are still considered dangerous.

This term was viewed 2674 times.
