Random Access Memory
Also known as: RAM

Random Access Memory is temporary memory used to store data and process information. The more RAM that is available to a computer, the more data the computer can store there, which can lead to faster performance.

Any information that is stored in RAM when you turn off your computer is wiped out and will not be present when you restart your computer.
