BleepingComputer.com: Fixing Browser Sound Has Caused New Problem!

Basically, i wasn't getting any sound off web pages. so i fixed it by downloading a codec pack and then reinstalling directx. When i later went to start some editing in adobe, my capture wouldnt work. this was apparently due to the codec pack. so i done a system restore to fix adobe, and then i lost sound on webpages again. SO i fixed that again, and last night it looked like adobe was working fine aswell. i opened it this morning to find that it is capturing fine...but no audio on it what so ever...does anyone have any ideas tht can get me out of this loop!!!
