Laptop Risk During Electrical Storm...? Is it the same as a plugged in desktop..?

Being on a plugged in desktop when a bolt of lightning strikes "nearby" and blacks-out the neighborhood (or hits your house itself)......is certainly a risk to the computer...

Is the risk of damage to the UNplugged laptop any less...?

I would think that the risk would be removed....But I'm not sure.......

There is no risk to having an unplugged laptop.

Once the laptop power is totally unplugged, there should be no risk.
