Memory Upgrade

Okay, I want to get a memory upgrade, but my computer has DEP (Data Execution Prevention). Will getting a memory upgrade make me lose my DEP settings, or is the DEP somewhere else?

I have never had any hardware upgrade interfere with data execution prevention settings (yet).
The name says it all -- 59 and holding permanently
