Command Prompt Help Plz sorry i dont know were to post

hey guys when i open command prompt it sais D:\ documents and setting i have typed in C: and it changes it but when i close down the command prompt and i open it agian it sais D:\ documents and setting i was woundering if i can make it C: permenatly
