My Laptop Hates My Phone

I thought this was a problem that I had only with my old phones(sonyericsson w800 + w810) but my laptop doesn't recognise my new phone either (w850) which is really fustrating me, I have a walkman phone with no music on it :/

My laptop runs on vista. Phone works on mum's PC (XP) but it takes about a week to recognise that hardware's plugged in and that I want to transfer files :flowers:

(thPC is buggered)

So my laptop is telling me "Device driver software not successfully installed" and tells me that my phone has been unplugged when it's obv still connected (via usb) it says I have to contact the manufacturer... ick! I thought you guys may be able to help me, please? Drving me nuts :thumbsup:

(sorry about typos, I still can't get used to laptop keys)

Oh. I just tried installing the PC suite which came on disc with the phone, and it says my OS isn't adequete... :thumbsup:

What am I meant to do, revert my laptop to XP to put music on it? ...this is my first real problem with vista ack

You might check to see if there are Vista drivers and software for that phone.

According to sonyericsson.com/support, the Vista compatible software should have been published today...perhaps not eh? meh..

Thanks, but nope. Everyone on that board is complaining of the same thing.Gr! I guess I just gotta wait for Winblows to get their ass in gear (why do I always complain about Windows when I insist on using the OS? lol)

haha yep. Well my MMS settings are all buggered up so I'm trying to fix that (wit my small amount of phone tec knowledge haha)

I tried installing the sotftware via disk on my mum's crappy old XP, but the disk drive kept flying open mid-install so now trying to download the software via the website.

GrrrMMS isn't working! :thumbsup:
