Reformatting - Need Av Software. How can I download it if I shouldn't connect without it?

Hi
I need to reformat my C drive because of a trojan. I have mcafee internet security suite which I purchased via download. When I reformat I will no longer have AV protection until I have gone on-line and downloaded again. What is the best way to protect my computer while downloading security suite?

Thanks

If possible, download the .exe file and save it to a disk. Then you can install from there.
If you install a firewall first, then JUST go to the download site directly (do not pass go, do not collect $100), you should be fairly safe.

If you're only online for a short time it shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure the Windows firewall is on. If you're really worried you could always download a free anti-virus on another machine, install that on your machine (transfer the installation file on CD or a flash drive) and then go on the net to download McAfee, then disconnect from the net, uninstall the free AV and install McAfee.
