Try installing it in safe mode. If that does not work, make a directory on your c:\ drive called office.src and copy the entire cd into that directory. Then install from that directory instead of the cd

You could just install Open Office until you work out the bugg. It's Wordprocessor is compadible with WORD. The whole suite is a Java ver. of MS Office. If you try it install Java Runtime for End Users first. I think you will like it . Its a 45mb download. Hope this helps.

I had trouble installing Office 2003 Professional. It couldn' install because a file was currupted. when the meesage poped up diplaying that it has curruped i had a look to see what files it was. then i download a copy of than file then i copy the entire contents of the disc onto the hardrive. located where the file was. replaced it. then tried to install it from my hardrive. when it succesfully installed. i then put it onto disc. (do the full installation). this was a brand new copy i got from a computer store in Brisbane (Australia/ State Queensland) and i wasn't tracelling 4 hours just to replace it. it works. tha's all that matters. i didn't waste my $500.
