BleepingComputer.com: Web Cams For Vista.

Good evening all and thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Righto ...the problem is very simple. I am one of the idiots who purchased a Vista computer and now find that nothing much works on it. My main complaint is that although i got a Logitech quick cam ...Vita basic compatible, although its loaded when ever i offer it to someone and they accept it after about 5 secs it not only shuts itself down but kicks me off the net. I can see anyone else though without a problem.
1. Is there an answer?
2. What is it?


I have been told that I can get rid of vista and reinstall my xp...again not being a whizz at this thing any help would be grateful.

Are you using Meeting Space to work with the camera? If so the steps may be a bit different than I outline here (it requires IPv6 to run).

I'd suggest disabling IPv6 and disabling the DHCP broadcast flag ( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233 ) to start. I'd also visit the Logitech site and download the the latest version of the software.
