I made the mistake of "upgrading" XP to Vista Home Basic. During a disk clean-up I accidentally removed "windows.old". Is there anyway to recover that file?
Thanks.

Why do you want to recover it? Isn't it just old OS files?

There is software available to recover deleted files, but I don't believe any of them are free. Just google "recover deleted files", and you should find an array of options that would suit your needs.
