Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. Forgive me if there is another topic posted about this as i have been unable to search back for the past month to check.
I am receiving a BSOD error on logoff. I have been so far unable to catch exactly the culprit of it as it flicks to quick for me to see. It usually only happens after a user clicks log off to return to the welcome screen. It doesn't do it if you "Switch user" or restart the machine. Only on logoff.
My machine specs are as follows.
Dell m/board with pentium 4 2.8ghz processor. 1.5ghz of ram (512 + 512) + (256 + 256) running in dual channel, all DDR 333 sticks. All have been memtested. 120gb SATA hdd, 120gb IDE hdd, LG DVD multi and LG CD/RW drives.
I repair computers for a living and have so far tried everything i could think of. I have run multiple virus and spyware scans, both remote and local (drive removed). I have individually tested each stick of ram, and chkdsk /r'ed all drives. All fine, have also run spinrite on hdd's.
Does anyone have any ideas on what may resolve the problem, i am at wits end trying to fix this, and i heavily rely on this computer for my work, and can't afford the time or parts to rebuild my second machine.
