I'm a photoshop novice, trying to move an image in a photoshop layer. I select the layer in the layers palette, select the Move tool and it appears that I've got a lock on the image. However when I try to move the image other layers move with it. None of the layers appear to be linked. I'm working with mockups that were created by someone else. Any advice?

Duplicate the layer then try moving it.

If other layers are moving with it. Try locking the other layers.

What version of photoshop are you using? Check to ensure that you don't have "Auto layer select" checked off. Let me know what version and we'll go from there (if the Auto layer select wasn't the issue).

Let us know either way, even if you've figured it out on your own! :flowers:
