Have just done a reformat, and after getting everything else installed I realise the sound has gone and im getting beeps from the computer where sound should be in place. Obviously it looks like i've deleted my sound card. I have no cd for it, so what do I do? Not even a headset will work.
How do I find what ahrdware I have?

It may just be your device is malfunctioning or not switched on. Go to sound devices in your device manager and see if there is something that says "integrated audio" or "sound card" and see if that device is enabled.
