Hi,
I need help with this nasty thing. Everytime I open up any application (norton anti virus, or microsoft spyware runs at 1:30am, or run spell check in outlook express), the windows installer dialog box comes up and i need to hit cancel, then cancel then cancel again. It asks for something totally not revelant to what is running.
HELP!!!
what is wrong????? any ideas???? i loaded microsoft office 2003 this weekend, and i know office 2000 caused this before, does 2003 cause it too????


Thank godness for firefox, i'm ready to go back to UNIX!

Don't think it has to do with office, I had the same problem after I switched of my pc cos it froze up on me, had to do a repair installation to get it going again.
It was after that , that I started seing the windows installer when ever i tried to run a program needless to say the programs still opend, just really irritating.

Well eventually I ended up formating and reinstalling windows

hope someone has a fix for you
