Hey looky here...

I found a site with every ICQ ever made archived. Just in case anyone wanted to use an older version. Personally after AOL bought icq it's been CRAP.

WARNING: Some of the older clients are not compatible with XP

but hopefully someone will find a use for them. :flowers:
I tried for hours to come up with a signature and all I came up with was this.

Just to remind everyone that FireFox now includes an extension that can enable it as a generic ICQ. Ain't it great to have so many choices?

FYI that link is broken. Anyone know if such a site still exists? I haven't used ICQ for probably...4 or 5 years. It was my favorite IM app for a long time.

Might be good to unpin this topic or nuke it entirely if the ICQ resource is gone?

After my previous post, I checked out brunt's link. The link below is direct to their ICQ page. They have 13 versions! I believe I was a user from the 1.x versions up to the 99b.

Which is the last version before AOL took over?

Yes and someone on XP could just run the older version in Win98 compat mode WHICH SHOULD ALLOW IT TO WORK..
