Cd-rw Drive Doesnt Read Disk

New Member Group: Members Posts: 8 Joined: 10-May 07 Member No.: 130,170	I hope this is the right place to ask this. I tried to install new software but the disk wont read, the computer says that there is nothing in the CD drive and im frustrated as it wont read any kind of disk, so does anybody know how to fix this?

Check the disk it might be DVD instead of CD type Have you newly bought the disk? Is the disk old? Is there any scratches,dust on it? When I get new software, the first thing I do is burn at least 2 backup copies of the disk. When I put in one of my burned copies, the disk got read and I was able to install my software. -------------------- Auburn lost and the world didn't stop. The sun will still come up in the morning. And the game crowds and traffic have left town and I am able to venture out into the world without them cluttering up the streets and stores.
