looks just like always , but nothing comes down.

DOWNLOAD box is a white blank.

Did a REPAIR on Windows 2000,

then downloaded & installed Most Recent Firfox browser version.

then RESTART.

problems remains the same.

No right click download materializes, even though all the steps seem the same (up until DOWNLOAD box is blank)

Any Help Greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Bleeping Computer TheManInTheCUBE,

I am a bit unsure what you asking for in your post.
Are you wanting to download an extension in Firefox?
If this is your issue, have a look at this article; Unable to Install Themes or Extensions.

Welcome to Bleeping Computer TheManInTheCUBE,

Thanks for the greeting.

My problem is that I can no longer do SIMPLE downloads of, for example, a photo in a story, or a file.

If I do a right click, then do to the 'SAVE as" or "Save Link As " box, nothing happens.

So what I can NOT do is download any photo or right clicked-on file (something that has worked properly for years up until now).

Thanx for the additional info.
Hopefully the following Firefox diagnostic articles for this type of problem will help you out.

Unable to Save or Download Files.
Downloads Not Visible in Download Manager.
And because you just did a repair, Downloads Action List is Empty.
