my specs.. p4 2.4 1 gig ram nvidia geforce 7600 256 mb windows xp sp2
my problem..
I was playing Max payne 2.. max out details(4x anti aliasing).. around 15 minutes into the game, my computer suddenly rebooted and when windows loaded an error message that read "Windows has been restored from a critical error" came out, this has also happened to me while playing Test Drive Unlimited... but this never happens to me while playing Half Life 2, Nba live 07, NFS carbon etc... any thoughts? Should I just lower the details settings of the game?

This could be a driver problem. Have you checked to see if you have the latest video and audio drivers at the manufacturer's sites? Do you kill unneeded applications before playing? Have you defragged your hard drive recently?
Generally games have forums at their sites for specific problems---you might want to check there if no further and more specific replies to your post here.
Cheers,
John
