Anitvirus Not Working

My emachine T3624 has a serious problem. I just cannot access my hotmail or my yahoo mails. In yahoo, I can open my mails bit there is no information in the body of the mails only the headings. In hotmail I cannot get pass the login page. I tried using all types of anitvirus softwares including norton 2007, mcafee and zonealarm. nothing sems to be working. I even tried ot do a sytem restore but I cannot get into that program either. What other steps can I take??

Have you tried logging onto www.mail.yahoo.com, and www.hotmail.com and signing in from there?

Have you made any changes to your browser's default settings?

Hum.... Sounds to me like it might be time to do some free on-line scans (if your box will let you) to determine if there are any gremlins aboard.... just a thought.

thanks guys but I tried all of those tips but nuttin worked. I did not make anychanges to my browser settings

Sorry I am late getting you a reply. Next time toss out your question in general way and someone else will respond with what you are needing. Anyway, you will find the on-line scanners listed here along with heaps of other free programs.
