Ok, yeah I'll have a look at those freebies.

And Superantispyware could be the way to go. Thanks alot for your advice. I appreciate it.

Cheers,

tony

AVG Anti-virus and Anti-Spyware are both very good along with Spybot Search and Destroy...

For paid software i would recommend F-Secure Anti-Virus...

But i actually find it more effective to let the guys in the Hijackthis logs & analysis section of this site sort it out... coz there is always 1 or 2 your Anti-Virus will miss... if you have 2 Anti-Virus scanners, your 1st one is likey to miss 2 then of those 2 ur 2nd one will probs get 1 =D they are a pain in the ass... and here they know exactly what to do using several tools... long process but gets your computer squeeky clean...

Also a word of advice on your registry editing matter...

DO NOT TOUCH THE REGISTRY UNLESS TOTALLY NECCERSAY WITH NO OTHER OPTIONS OF FIXING SOMETHING

The registry is the most delicate part of your system... if you dont know what your doing u will bleep your computer sideways in the ass... Also it is not neccersary unless there is some sort of virus or keylogger deep in there but if you have a feeling that this might be a case then just get a hijack this log and post it in the Hijackthis logs & analysis section of this site... they will get it out of your system for you =]

Np... and good choice =P i never touch the damn things XD i did one time... and i was so happy that i had a back up coz i totally crapped up the whole drive... couldnt even start the computer... ended up getting a really old 3GB HDD and installed a compressed version of windows onto that so i could boot up the computer and use it as my main drive so i could replace the registry files with the old ones manually... was hell XD
