I had wmp9 and it wouldn't stream video. I upgraded to wmp11 and still no streaming. Then I installed Windows Media Lite 2.4 and tested it here: http://gorillamask.net/fgsw.shtml and it works great. The windows media lite plugin plays the video just fine. But then, when I go here : www.nothingtoxic.com it tries to play wmv's with wmp11 and they don't work.

So basically the only way I can get windows video files to stream in firefox is to use windows media lite as my plugin, but it only is used by firefox half of the time. The other half it tries to play stuff in wmp11 and just keeps saying connectnig and then ready but never plays. How can I get all videos to play in my browser?

UPDATE:

Ok, Windows media player 9 and 11 have been successfully removed. Now I am using Windows Media Player 6.5 to play wmv's, etc. and using windows media lite to stream. The only problem with this is the same as before, some streams work, some do not. Here is an error message I got from http://www.nothingtoxic.com

The specified stream type is not recognized. (Error=C00D07E2)

Cannot open. Please verify that the path and filename are correct and try again. (Error=C00D07E2)

But, if I click download next to said video, it opens in wmp6.5 and plays just fine. And, when I go to http://www.gorillamask.net and watch a windows media type video, it streams fine. Both sites when you right click and go to properties says they are wmv's, so I don't know why one works and one doesn't and, more importantly, how to make them both work.
