Two days ago, my myspace account was phished and I changed password, I also changed Yahoo and Live! passwords. I can login to Yahoo Mail, I can login to Live! Support. I CANNOT login to either messenger service directly. This only occurred after changing passwords. If I open BellSouth Messenger, I can login to both using the NEW passwords, send and receive messages. I went to Audit My PC, did scans and found a former login port for NetController. I ran Ad-Aware, Avast Antivirus, Spybot S&D, changed from Windows firewall to Comodo, and fixed a problem where my time/date was not syncing. Audit My PC showed me that my IP address is in Orlando with a remote DSL; I am in Sanford (20 miles away). I do use a DSL with BellSouth, and just now I had a popup screen showing that a dial-up connection was trying to be made unsuccessfully. I think that my computer has been compromised, but I am not sure. I have posted this issue in 12 forums so far with only one answer - to sync the time/date. If anyone can help me, I would SO much appreciate it. I have no problem using BSM, but I am wondering if someone else is accessing Y! and Live! on my account. |
