Hello everyone,
The problem is we run spare-parts programs on our computers that have a date lock on them, after approx. six months from issue they shut down which can be a real pain, especially as we often need info from older machines in the database. So far the only way we've found to overcome it is to reset the computer date, but as you know this upsets a whole load of other settings, not least the e-mails.
Is there a standard file in the imported program that's set to count down the dates that we can insert a 'patch' in to?
look forward to your replies
many thanks
Richard

No.
I presume the date lock is included in the application for a reason. What you are asking for is seems to be in violation of the BC Forum Rules:"No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures."
I would think that a better means of avoiding this recurring problem would be to use a spreadsheet or database application that would not be subject to any time interruption. I am sure you could find someone to prepare either for a very reasonable sum.
