I hope I am at the right forum for this question. Please direct me otherwise if I am not.

I have small, digital camera with which I can take movie clips in a .MOV format. Iwant to send the clips in email but they are much too large for any emai program I have found (more than 10 MB).

I am told that I need to convert to a different format, possibly .WMV, which will compress the data enough to manage the clip in email. I found one free program which say it will do that but it requires the end viewers to download their viewer. This I believe is DivX software.

My question: Is anyone out there up on this sort of thing who can recommend such a product? Or if I am way off base in my thinking please let me know.

Here's a place to look for different types of conversions:

Some of the programs used are Freeware, and some are pay for.
If you look around, you should be able to find a way to do it using only freeware.

the best one to my usage, user friendly, is super from www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html and mediacoder from sourceforge.net (the latter needs some working knowledge on video files) but super is gud enough..
