I have tried several times to install this program and only get so far when it stalls and shows "error 1406". I use XP with SP2, 2.01GHz, 1GB ram with ample space. I have administrators' right. I have closed down all programs including my anti-virus (PCCillin) and still cannot install. I have scanned and removed any possible spyware using Error Doctor, AdAware and SpyBot. The manufacturer's website does not provide any information about this problem. Googling shows several programs available for a price but I don't know how good any of them are and don't want to spend a lot of money to solve a problem with this unimportant program. Can ayone help me? Thanks.

Bob

Can you give us the exact error message in Printmaster? Error 1406 doesn't show up at Broderbund's Tech support site, but lots of information is there. With the complete error, we may be able to tie it to something.

Thanks,

rigel

The error message reads:

" Error 1406. Could not write vale to key\CLSID\{D27CDB70-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}\ InprocServer32. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
