What version operating system are you using? If XP do this:
Open My Computer Right-click on the hard disk you wish to work with Select Properties Go to the Tools tab Under Error-checking, click Check Now... Check the second box or both if you like It should tell you it has to reboot to check them Specify that you would like it to check on next startup -------------------- |

The problem appears to be that when it is supposed to run when the system / windows reboots - it doesn't! That is what is so unusual, and I can't figure it out!
Thanks! |

(The system reboots, CHKDSK won't run. Sorry, I'm at work and I'm trying to do this in a hurry. Are there any other options on how I can approach this?
Thanks! |

Do you get any messages? maybe something like this:
QUOTE Cannot open volume for direct access.
The type of the file system is NTFS. IFSUTIL: Can't open drive. Status returned = c0000043. Windows has finished checking the disk. -------------------- |
