I just had a new hard drive installed and now my computer won't recognise my speakers. The speakers work fine, but the computer wont aknowledge their existence when i plug them in. I don't, and as far as im aware, never had an installation cd with the speakers, so i cant try that. A friend suggested it had something to do with the sound card and XP? any help appreciated This post has been edited by Grinler: Jan 15 2005, 06:05 PM |

Was this an upgrade to xp? or did you already have xp and just upgraded the hard drive?

Is it possible a cable came loose when you installed the hard drive? You may want to open the case and reseat the sound card
