Have encourntered a problem I've never had before. This morning I tried to go to my home page (tried in both IE 7 and Firefox) and got the following message error:

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Looked on Google but haven't been able to find any resource to help correct the problem. I sure hope someone on this forum can help me.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

JazzMahn

p.s. I tried using several various restore points when I knew I had no problem going to fox new and it made no difference.

I forgot to mention that I don't have any problem with any other url's that I'm aware of. Just Fox News. That is the one I really want to be able to access. Don't understand what happened.

First guess would be that your home page's server is down. Try checking with another computer to verify it. If not, then it's probably either a change in the home page (on their server) or a change in your settings that did it.

John,

I think this might have been a result of trying the newest beta Nvidia update. I rolled back to the original driver I had when I installed Vista and I had no problem getting to the home page. I don't know if it was a problem with the browser or with Vista but all is working now. Thanks for your ideas.
