S-video Question

i purchase a s-viedeo cable hoping to watch a movie on my tv...while its disc is playing on my pc....
is it suppose to be plug and play on do i have to do some settings?

becose i plug and my tv says no signal....

anyone can help me on this.....?

which video card do you have and which TV?

Check the sockets on your TV to ensure you have to plugged into the s-video socket. Most newer TVs have several sockets and if you plug into the wrong one you will get no signal. Also check the PAL/NTSC settings.

Good advice Fozzy and Budapest! Could I also add that there will be some settings within DISPLAY PROPERTIES that you may have to change, else consult your graphics card manual.
If all else fails, hit the reset button.

firekracker........i know there are settings to be made at display properties there is suppose to be to boxes name 1 and 2....but i only see my desktop appereance

I was told that s video is just for pics
and not audio
I cant believe that a cable that complex
does nt carry audio too.
