I updated my laptop to Windows Vista Home Edition from Windows XP SP2 recently and have been having a couple of problems. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced the same things.
When typing the cursor occasionally moves back to the beginning of the text box. It doesn't seem to be on pressing any single key but just on random times.
Another problem is after the computer is coming out of sleep mode the screen flickers and the only way to stop this is by turning the computer off with the power button.
Thank you very much for any help anyone can give me.

I haven't heard of this problem..... its possible there is spyware on your PC. Try doing an antivirus/antispyware scan and tell me what they find.
Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 l McAfee Total Protection l Super AntiSpyware Free Edition l AdAware SE Personal l Spyware Blaster l Spyware Guard l Safe Eyes 2007

Thank you for your reply. I have AVG anti virus installed which peforms a full scan every day and I use Spybot and Spyware Blaster regularly which have found no problems.

I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling your drivers with the latest, Vista compatible versions. There is a tendency for an upgrade from XP to Vista to become "quirky" and this is the best advice that I've seen on this subject.
Otherwise, it's best to do a clean install and then install the Vista drivers. If there aren't any Vista drivers available, then try the XP drivers in XP SP2 compatibility mode and also select "Run as Administrator". No guaranty's, but it's better than nothing
