Avg 7.5, Proxy Server Failure

Member Group: Members Posts: 36 Joined: 6-December 06 From: Sheffield (England) Member No.: 99,757	Help I have just upgraded my Dialup connection to Broadband When I try to check for updates for my AVG Free Edition Anti Virus I get a Message saying that The Proxy server connection failed. Could someone advise me what to do. I am running Windows XP. Thanks Big Geoff

Perform following procedure: * run AVG Control Center * mark the Update Manager component -> Settings (button in the bottom of AVG Control Center or an item in context menu (right-click by the mouse) * if you are using a Proxy server, set appropriate values on the proxy tab. * if you are using a dial-up, set it on the Dial-Up tab. * check your firewall settings, the avginet.exe and avgcc.exe applications must be allowed to connect itself to the internet Are you using AVG 7.5?
