Is My Home Pc Too Old?!

ive just bought i belkin hi-speed 125 ADSL wireless router (with modem), and i cant find a place to put the yellow "RJ45 Ethernet Networking Cable" !!!

As the downstairs home PC is the ICS, (because the phone line is downstairs too) i am wondering if my computer is too old! im embarrassed to say it has a total hard drive memory of 29GB!! with only 7GB left free space, but i need to connect my laptop upstairs in my room (total 100GB hardrive memory) through the Belkin wireless router, as it is a nuisance to connect manually downstairs all the time!

please can you help me - im asking:
is there a way to connect my wifi laptop to the wireless router, without connecting the router to the old computer??

i have a pic of the back of my home PC- where there is no apparent slot for the RJ45 Ethernet Networking cable(!!) but how do i attach it to this topic?

Hello,
To post pictures, go to http://imageshack.us/ and upload the picture then when you reply, click insert image, and copy and paste the image location.

If there is a spare PCI slot available, you can purchase an Ethernet card for the old pc.

Do you have cable/DSL internet - or are you using dialup?

Most laptops come with wireless built in - so it depends on the age of the laptop. With the make and model number we can find that info out. If your laptop has wireless, then you'll be able to connect to the wireless router. If it doesn't, there are wireless cards that you can purchase that will plug into the PC so that you can connect wirelessly.

its actually my home PC (tower) im having problems with..

my cousins came round a while ago, and they said that i'll need to buy a USB ethernet adapter...
im looking online, and i dont know which one is the most reliable for a decent price (if i need it!!)

please give any advice as to which ethernet adapters you think are best, or a site that recommends/compares them! thanks

p.s. i have tiscali 1meg broadband, ADSL...but it automatically "dials up" everytime i switch my laptop/computer on!
