install a wireless router on the home PC, when my laptop (with wifi) has a virus??

im not sure if it IS a virus, or spyware or adware... its the WinAntivirusPro popup/amaena.com/em-gads popups..


please advise me as to whether i should set up the wireless router to use the internet on my (infected) laptop!!


(its a Belkin High Speed 125Mbps wireless router......)

nope nope... I wouldn't. Chances are that the wireless to the router (which I assume is hard wired to the PC) will infect the desktop with a virus as well or spyware or what not. Try getting rid of the virus first =) (AVG... Spybot... Ad-aware...)

ok.. well i jus got rid of the adware i had (it wasnt a virus then), so im guessing its ok to install the router now.. thanks though! :thumbsup:
