My HP Notebook with windows XP suddenly began "unconnecting" from my wireless network. It connects when I first turn the computer on but after about 3 minutes it disconnects and I can not connect again. If I change the firewall setting to off it sometimes connects again for a short period.

The network is fine as my other computer does not have any problems connecting.

I tried to load CA security suite and I think this is when the problem began. Possibly the CA firewall and the Windows firewall did something to my settings.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

What router are you using and have you check their site for firmware updates?

I'm using a Motorola Router but the desktop computer is not having any issues and the notebook is. Both are wireless.

But the router could be having an issue with the wifi card in the notebook. That is why I recommended you look and see if there is a firmware update for your router.
Can you lint the make and model of the router and the wifi card in the notebook?
