My laptop just went blank one day and when I went to start it it comes up with a Dell black and white screen saying administrator password required. I do not know this and cannot get any help from Dell as it is a very old laptop. I have tried adding a new hardrive but this does the same. Does anybody know how I obtain the password please Lizi |

Do you know what BIOS it runs? (e.g. Award, phoenix etc). If so google BIOS passwords and you should find a page with a link to default passwords for different BIOS' some of these work.
