BleepingComputer.com: Greedy Picaso

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and Picaso 2 installed in my computer.

Adobe is full of photos and Picaso is empty - or it should be.

Picaso persistently grabs photo files from my computers innards and I have four times deleted them or 'removed them from Picaso'. Yesterday it did it again.

Someone told me that Picaso can be stopped from dragging photos into itself.

I want to keep Adobe and Picaso. Adobe has personal photos. Picaso will have project photos - if I can stop it grabbing photos that are in Adobe.

Can someone advise?

May we assume you mean Picasa2?

If no, please disregard the following:

Open Picasa2

Along the top of the screen, select "Tools", then "File Manager".

Click once on the "My Pictures" folder shown on the left side of the window.

Now, on the right side, click on "Remove from Picasa".

You will get a message warning that if you remove that folder from Picasa it won't automatically add those images. Click "yes".


If "My Pictures" isn't the folder you don't want it to watch, select the appropriate folder and do the above again.

Notice that you can see which folders are being monitored in the lower right section of that window.

Then, once you close Picasa2, what you describe should stop happening.
