Carbon Patch Problem

I have problem with patch for Need For Speed Carbon. I downloaded this patch http://needforspeedsavegames.com/patchesf/5 and when I try to apply it I only see dos console window for a one seconds and then it dissapears and my game version stays the same. Please help me I really need this patch to be able to play online.
