Sounds like it. Please list your system specifications especially your graphics card.

Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?

Try the latest drivers for it, here is how if you don't know

Go here: nvidia website , click graphics driver, Geforce and TNT2, select what operating system your using, click go, then download it. That might fix it.

I had a bad lag problem with a new game once, it was my power supply, too small. What are your system specs? If you don't have enough power to run everything, you can have lagging and sometimes,(in my case), the game shut down. HERE is a link to tigerdirect.com, down the page you will see and article "the truth about power supplies" click on the link and it gives a list of how much power is used by the components in your computer. Add them up and see if your power supply is big enough.

Have you added any components to the computer since playing them successfully?

This could point to hardware incompatibility or an inadequate PSU.

Please list the specs stamped onto the side of the PSU, as well as all components (drives, sound card, externals) you are currently running from that PSU.

Well, at least it was a fairly simple solution. Glad you solved the problem.
