BleepingComputer.com: Changing From Windows Pc To A Mac

i'm thinking of buying a mac but have always used windows. my biggest concern is learning a new operating system. can anyone who has made this transition tell how difficult it was? i'm not a computer jock and don't like to spend a lot of time learning technical stuff.

You can download Firefox and install it on the PC you have now. FF is easy to use, set up your favorites, etc. When you get the Mac you can duplicate that FF layout style on the Mac and both computers will look and operate about the same. I don't like Internet Explore too much anyway, maybe that's just me!

Tech support over the phone was pretty good with Apple and I was able to understand what they were telling me and I know diddilly squat about computer stuff!

You are right about the Apple Care. My first Mac was an EMac, when a problem came up that couldn't be fixed at the apple store they replaced it (free) with an IMac a couple models better! I was glad I had it! With "Apple Care" the company was answering questions for me for the 23 months I had the EMac until it crashed, I definitely bought the Apple Care program for the new IMac!

Don't actually have a mac but have heard alot of good for it's ease of use and family oriented...

If you are not technically savyy you are probably better off with a Mac...
