QUOTE
And it's legal, claims Windows expert...Windows Vista can be run for at least a year without being activated, thwarting one of Microsoft's key antipiracy measures, Windows expert Brian Livingston said yesterday..."The problem I see with this is that unscrupulous system builders will use it [to install counterfeit copies of Vista], but that Vista will start demanding activation a year or more out, when the guy is long gone with your money...And then the activation key wouldn't work, because he would have used it on hundreds or even thousands of systems and Microsoft would have blocked it."

I believe in my opinion that Microsoft will allow ANYTHING at all for consumers to use Vista , They will do whatever it takes to get the consumers hook onto Vista , They have to , How else will the spending cycle start ? Hardware is a joke at this stages , You need all new hardware and its not even worth getting now , Maybe 2 or 3 years from now when we will be probably be using 4gb of memory or more for a OS and when the price fits the bill , Then and only then is it worth getting for the average user's , Give the consumers the right prices for hardware that would fit correctly with the new OS , Then maybe they will spend but for me xp is doing just fine and I don't see myself getting anything new for a good long time , I still don't think Microsoft did enough within the time period they had with Vista , 5 years and that all they could come out with , That to me is a real joke
