This release includes enhanced features that reflect ongoing input from customers.

Note: If you have version 1.1.1592.0, you must first manually uninstall Windows Defender before you can install this newer version. To configure or remove the existing version, use Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel.

Is this version the one included in Windows Vista ?

You can't install it anyway on Vista, it says it's unnecessary to do so because Windows Defender comes with Vista and ends the installation. I assume that it means that Vista's version is up to date.

This not Version 7.0. The download site http://tinyurl.com/d9klo says 1593. This has already been posted before.

Microsoft Awkwardly Refreshes Windows Defender
