Posted Image When posting a log please put the type of infection you have in the topic title. IE: Winfixer, Virtumonde, WinTools, WebSearch, Home Search Assistant, etc.


Posted Image Do not bump your topic. We try to resolve logs on a first come/first served basis. By bumping your log you will be pushed back in line due to the new date of your bump.

Click on Start>Run and type Services.msc then hit Ok.
Scroll down and find the service's called:
01606
17455
86253
In the next window that opens, click their 'Stop' buttons.
Then change their 'Startup Types' to 'Disabled'.
Now press Apply and then Ok and close any open windows.

Click Start>Run and type regedit then click OK.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services
Scroll down the left pane, locate the service name's:
01606
17455
86253
Right click on them 'Delete',then exit regedit.
Then reboot,post a new Hijackthis log please.

Please disable Spybot S&D’s protection,or it will interfere.
You can enable it after you're clean.
Open Spybot and click on 'Mode' and check 'Advanced Mode'.
Click on 'Tools' in bottom left hand corner.
Click on the 'System Startup' icon.
Uncheck 'Teatimer' box and/or uncheck 'Resident'.
Click the 'Allow Change' box.
Then, check next to the computer clock to see if the icon for Spybot is still there.
If it is, right click it and choose 'exit Spybot-S&D Resident'.
Reboot the computer.

Click on Start>Run and type Services.msc then hit Ok.
Scroll down and find the service called:
74834
When you find it, double-click on it.
In the next window that opens, click the 'Stop' button.
Then change the 'Startup Type:' to 'Disabled'.
Now press Apply and then Ok and close any open windows.


Click Start>Run and type regedit then click OK.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services
Scroll down the left pane, locate the service name:
74834
Right click on it 'Delete'.
*NOTE*
If there are any other 5 digit numbered services present,delete those as well.
Exit regedit,then reboot.

Uninstall Avast4 via Add or Remove Programs,then reboot.

Kaspersky found a lot of stuf in backups (avangar, avast).

It cannot delete these:

Start up Avenger.
Check the 'Input script manually' option.
Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
In the box that opens,copy and paste ALL the following bold blue text in the Quote box below:

Files to delete:
C\WINNT\eraseme_02673.exe

Then click on 'Done'.
Click the Traffic Light icon to start the program.
Then press OK at the prompts to reboot your PC.

Post the Avenger output.txt, which you can find at C:\Avenger\.txt into your next reply

Try scanning with Kaspersky in Safe Mode,if it still cannot remove Protect.Win32.Crypt.Exe let me know the exact path to its location please.

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE using the F8 method.
To do this,restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

I am a little confused. During the day Kaspersky found a few numeric eraseme files. I tried to delete them all.

Also I put them all in Avenger.

Click on Start>Run and type Services.msc then hit Ok.
Scroll down and find the service called:
62388
When you find it, double-click on it.
In the next window that opens, click the 'Stop' button.
Then change the 'Startup Type:' to 'Disabled'.
Now press Apply and then Ok and close any open windows.

Click Start>Run and type regedit then click OK.
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services
Scroll down the left pane, locate the service name:
62388
Right click on it 'Delete'.
*NOTE*
If any other 5 digit numbered services are present,delete those too.

Exit regedit,then reboot,post a new Hijackthis log please.

When I did regedit, only one numeric file was there, so I deleted it. When rebooted computer, another numeric file came up:

Download 'e Scan MWAV' from here to your desktop:
http://www.mwti.net/download/tools/mwav.exe
Disconnect from the internet.
Double click on the mwav icon on your desktop.
The program will start,the Licence Agreement will pop up.
Select 'I accept the agreement',then press Ok.
The program will open,leave all the settings as they are.
Now press the 'Scan & Clean' button.
The program will now start scanning your pc.
Once the scan has finished exit MWAV.

Please then reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following :

* Restart your computer
* After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
* Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
* Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
* Choose your usual account.

* In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
* Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
* Type Y to begin the script.
* It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
* Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
* Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
* When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
* Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt into your next reply.

Please make sure you can still see all hidden files:

* Click 'Start'.
* Open 'My Computer'.
* Select the 'Tools' menu and click 'Folder Options'.
* Select the 'View' tab.
* Under the 'Hidden files and folders' heading select 'Show hidden files and folders'.
* Uncheck the 'Hide file extensions for known types' option.
* Uncheck the 'Hide protected operating system files (recommended)' option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Download\install FileASSASSIN:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/FileASSASSIN.zip

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE" using the F8 method.
To do this,restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Run FileASSASSIN.
Using the button to the right of the center space,navigate to and double click on the following file below.
That files full path will appear in the space,then click 'Delete'.
Wait for the confirmation of deletion,then exit the program.
C:\WINNT\eraseme_54188.exe

Reboot normally,post a new Hijackthis log please.

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:

Exit Hijackthis.

First make sure you're logged on to your pc as Administrator,or at least logged on with an account with administrative privileges.

Go here,download the Sysclean Package (3.2MB):
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/pattern-dcs.asp

Go here,download the latest Virus Pattern File for Windows (lpt379.zip) (18.1MB):
http://www.trendmicro.com/download/viruspattern.asp

Now create a new folder on your desktop,rename it Sysclean.
Now place the Sysclean Package inside that new folder.
Unzip/extract the Virus Pattern File to that new folder as well.

Close all open applications,and DISABLE your current antivirus software.
Open the Sysclean folder and double-click on sysclean.com to start the scan.
It will take some time to complete.
Be patient and let it clean whatever it finds.
Exit when done and post back with how you got on please.
