An icon like a TV suddenly appeared in the bottom right toolbar and when I put the cursor over it, it said something like "identify new UPnP devices" (It's disappeared again, so I can't remember the exact phrase). I haven't installed anything. Can somebody tell me what this is? Is it something sinister? I've never seen it before. Thanks

identify new UPnP devices means it's Identifying Universal Plug n Play devices. So something is being recognized...

Thanks Animal, I think I know what happened - I've just connected to broadband and it's the router it's recognizing. Because I didn't connect it today that's why I had no idea what it was "talking" about (the firewall was blocking something and it seems that it was probably these messages - I only found out how to configure the firewall to stop it today). Thanks.
