ok i have searched the internet far and wide, all i want is to put the simplest chat room on my website, just like this one.

i realize that i could just link to this one but i want to change what it says at the top and the bg color, but nothing else. anyone know how to get this on my site?

That looks like a ShoutBox script. You have 2 choices on the code used if you want to host it on your site, Javascript or PHP.
