Douglas Adams!

For the record, I didn't like the movie.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a book that NEEDS to be read.

Why? 42.

Just finished "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson. Its hard to believe this book was written 20 years ago. all the Technology is still relevant. The only things that gave it away where the use of "hacker" in its original context (as what we would now call a programmer) and lack of mentioning Windows, Microsoft, and Linux (Macintosh, Apple, and Unix are mentioned)

Oh that book is about computer viruses that can infect human brains.

Very well written.

I read books by the bagful but two of my favourite authors are Robert B. Parker and Janet Evanovich (spelling?).
Never let your computer realize you are in a hurry or just typing the last few words of a vital document.

While outer events might make one happy or sad, happiness itself is entirely internal, and at all times completely within one's power.

Without a specific category this could be a long list, but I'll keep it short.

Ken Follet
Michael Crichton
James Lee Burke *just discovered recently and is one of my current favorites.
James Clavell
Dale Brown
Tom Clancy his *early novels
Dean Koontz
Robert B. Parker
Robert Ludlum who's new books give a whole new meaning to the term ghost writer. Ludlum was known for his spy thrillers, but he also wrote two of the funniest books I've ever read, The Road to Gandolfo and The Road to Omaha.

Does science fiction count? I'm not real into crime fiction.
When I'm asking for help, please explain, in detail, every step. Thank you :).
I have nightmares about computer glitches and bugs.

Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston. They are the authors of the book "The Relic" and they are awesome authors. They do suspense/mystery stories and they are really hard to put down and one that is really creepy is one called "Still Life with Crows"

I own all of their books and part of me wishes I was really behind and I had a bunch of their books yet to read. They are very addicting.
