ok i just got a new comp with vista basic, 512mb ram, celeron m. im trying to install duke 3d to be specific but when it goes to dos and is bout to goto the install screen it says, this system does not support full screen mode please click close to finish it. but i installed space colony and i played it, it went to full screen and played perfect. any help? thanks in advance smile.gif

Hey tigala -

It sounds like it's an old, DOS version of the game.

I'm wondering if you can run that game in one of the "compatibility modes" in Vista, maybe Win 98?

A "full screen" back in the DOS days may be much less than even the VGA 640x480 mode.

You may have to download and install Microsoft's Virtual PC (or similar) program and run your game(s) in a "virtual" environment.

Hopefully, someone here may have experience with DOS running in Vista.
