Memory, is DDR2 better?

New Member Group: Members Posts: 5 Joined: 5-March 07 Member No.: 115,651	Here is a link to the barebones kit I'm getting. In another post someone said to get either an asus, mci, or intel board. Well, the asus is the least expensive of those, but it has ddr 400 instead of ddr 2. Is this okay? Someone mentioned ddr2 and I didn't know if that was better. Cost is definitely an issue. Oh yeah, and are there any other upgrades on that page you would recommend? I don't need a hard drive or disk drive and I'll probably pick up memory elsewhere. The only mobo that you listed there that won't support DDR2 is the ASUS P5PE-VM. If it were me, I'd go with either the MSI P965Neo-F or the Intel DG965SSCK as oldf@rt had said in your other post HERE. -------------------- War produces veterans, wounded both physically and mentally.
